Recently, I mentioned on a Facebook post how retailers were dressing up their stores for the newest Magic: The Gathering release, Aether Revolt. Well, Wizards of the Coast just released a whole new suite of marketing tools to help you transform your store into Revolt Headquarters.
First of all, there are several downloadable files that can be printed out for use in store before, during and even after the January event.
There are battle-damaged tapestries, like the one you see pictured here to hang in and around your gaming area, as well as a printable large poster of fan-favorite character Ajani Goldmane to place in a prominent location. And if the rumors are true, there is at least one more new poster to follow.
Table number tent cards are available to provide a Aether Revolt themed method of player table assignation. And to keep kids (and adults) busy while waiting for the big event, they have provided a drawing/coloring sheet. I recommend that you print out several copies and put out cups of colored pencils or crayons and host a coloring contest for different age groups to participate in.
No matter what kind of online social media that you are working with, WOTC has got you covered with these beautiful downloadable digital assets featuring the confident and defiant pyromancer Chandra Nalaar.
Included in their Aether Revolt market package are a Facebook header for your store’s page or for posting and scheduling the event itself.
There are several website banners including this one for you use to promote the Pre-release event or the sale of boosters and decks.
And to drive interest in your stores, they have provided you with this TV image. Download it, add your event information, and add it to a slideshow or a screensaver on your store’s television/monitor.
Just remember, no matter whether you chose to participate in the pre-release or if you are only carrying the decks and boosters, these free marketing tools are yours to use.
Finally, while I have provided links to many of the assets, there are still a few others on the WPN page and lots of great direction on utilizing the materials provided.
