Sign up for your sanctioned Friday Night Magic September events.
Create a vibrant Magic player community in your store—with Friday NightMagic. FNM is the best way to offer players a chance to play Magic while meeting new friends and making your store the place to have fun. Try it out and discover why Friday night is the best night of the week!
FNM events are open to anyone and feature the most popular Magic formats. Legal FNM formats are:
- Booster Draft
- Sealed Deck
- Two-Headed Giant (Standard or Sealed)
- Block Constructed
Stores can pick different formats each week. Running events in these formats makes it easier for new players to participate, and you can pick the formats the players in your store most enjoy.
Advanced locations are encouraged to pick different formats for their two FNMevents each Friday. This allows them to expand their reach to different player segments each Friday. Also, Advanced stores can run their two FNM events in two different locations to serve distinct player communities!
Stores all around the world are running Friday Night Magic every week. And every sanctioned Friday Night Magic event appears in our Event Locator at the top of this page, so they’re easy for players to find.
FNM is a great opportunity to engage existing players and show new ones how fun in-store play can be. If you’re a Core level store and want to make every Friday the best night of the week for you and your players, sign up for Friday Night Magic events today.
Foil Prize Cards for Players
Each month, FNM offers players the chance to get a new foil card that’s exclusive to the FNM program. The great part about FNM prize cards is that everyone gets a shot at them, whether they win tournaments or not —and that gives every player that walks in your store a reason to keep coming back every week.
Each FNM kit will provide four promo cards for each Friday in a month to distribute to your players. Two should be handed out randomly as door prizes while the other two should be used to reward 1st and 2nd place.
Surplus Friday Night Magic cards may be distributed as prizes in another Friday Night Magic tournament, but only after those cards are no longer the current month’s prize cards. Excess Friday Night Magic prize cards may not be used for anything else.
Exclusive to Core Stores
Friday Night Magic is available to WPN organizers at the Core (and Advanced) level. So running FNM is something special in and of itself. But it’s not hard to reach Core level—Gateway support kits, Magic Launch Parties, and D&D Encounters are all programs designed to help you get your store up to Core level in just weeks.
