Asmodee North America (ANA) recently announced a change in the way they’ll supply to retailers and distribution going forward. They published how they want to support brick and mortar stores more, recognizing the important role they play in the success of their business and how they were making changes to support them more.
Part of that is registering as an official ANA Specialty Retailer. This is a very important step as from April 1st 2016, no distributor will be able to supply ANA products to any account that is not registered as a Specialty Retailer. Therefore, to help our accounts understand the process I have created this FAQ. Alternatively, you can call your PHD Account Manager or contact Ian at his email address. All of us will help guide you through the necessary steps and answer any other questions you have.
Is PHD an approved distributor?
YES! We are extremely proud to be selected as an official distributor for Asmodee North America.
When do I need to be signed up to ensure I continue to be able to order Asmodee North America’s products?
April 1, 2016. We highly recommend applying IMMEDIATELY!
Simply go to ANA’s website and fill out their application by clicking on “I do NOT have an active FFG Account”. This will take you to their Specialty Retailer application page.
What are the requirements of a Specialty Retailer?
You can find a full list of requirements in the ASMODEE NORTH AMERICA SPECIALTY RETAILER POLICY document. Note: You will have to send this document to ANA as part of the application process.
How will the distributor know I’m registered as an approved ANA Specialty Retailer?
It is every official distributor’s responsibility to ask for and track accounts via their ANA Account Number. This is given to each approved Specialty Retailer by ANA in their approval email. Distributors can ONLY supply ANA products to accounts with this number.
Does this apply to AsmOPlay too?
Yes. This ensures that AsmOPlay kits are only available to approved ANA Specialty Retailers. Another great reason for signing up immediately.
Yes. If you already have an active account with FFG you will need to follow a slightly different process. Simply select the “I have an active FFG account” button on the application page of ANA’s website.
My store is in Canada or Latin America. Do I need to fill out an application?
No. Currently, all stores outside of the USA must continue to abide by the local policy governing the sales and distribution of Asmodee products and services. NOTE: No USA based distributor can supply ANA products to other regions. The only distributors able to supply products to retailers within those regions must have offices in that region and/or an agreement with Asmodee to distribute products within that region.
