Today EnterPlay announced their plans for Organized Play. They are certainly pushing the boat out with Pre-releases and Launch Party Events! This comes as no surprise considering Dean’s (EnterPlay) considerable background in OPcentric companies.
Date: December 7th
Pre-release Premieres will be held one week in advance of the launch of a new set. These will be limited, to begin with, and centered around currently active MLP groups around the country. They will therefore be limited to one location per city/region from the list below. The actual locations will be a store, chosen by EnterPlay and the local distributor, who will host the marque event for that region. Stores need not apply, as they will be approached by EnterPlay directly. This is the current plan and will be expanded as necessary going forward.
Pre-release Premiere Event Kits:
Each store that participates will also receive, free of charge, a Pre-release Premiere Events Kit.
- Prize Boosters
- T-Shits (Volunteers and staff)
- Volunteer Reward Cards
Note: The Pre-release Premiere Kit does have a cost to the hosting store. This Kit is not provided free though the Pre-release Premiere Event Kit is provided free in addition to the above.
All kits will be available from PHD.
Launch Event Kits:
Date: December 13, 2013 for 4 weeks.
For the first 4 weeks after the launch of My Little Pony Collectible Card Game,
Enterplay will have available kits that will highlight your store as a center of MLP celebrations for the new set. Players will be rewarded with Special Foil Cards and Prize cards just for trying out the game in the store. Stores are therefore encouraged to get new players involved in learning the game, and to develop a little friendly competition in preparation for tournament style events coming in 2014!
- 8 Special Foil Cards
- 2 Special Foil Prize Cards
- 1 Foil Card for coordinating volunteer
Kits available from PHD
Note: All kits are intended specifically for Organized Play development and support within stores. Participating retailers are NOT authorized to sell and part of these kits and to do so may jeopardize their ability to obtain future kits or participate in MLP Tournaments.
