Portal Games is expanding their product line and their aspirations with a list of new games for 2018. In this article, we will give you an overview of their new titles, based on original intellectual properties, as well as cool expansions for some of their bestselling titles. As always, as soon as any of these titles are available for pre-order, we will let you know.

Monolith Arena is a fantasy battleground board game, designed by Michał Oracz, creator of the bestselling Neuroshima HEX games.
Wage war against your opponents on a hexagonal board. Prepare your armies to face off on the battlefield and surprise your enemy with your choice of special abilities!
The game will include five factions, with unique abilities and units! Monolith Arena will also have an amazing production value, with literal monoliths standing tall over the battlefield.

Detective is a modern crime board game (designed by Przemysław Rymer and Ignacy Trzewiczek) that truly tells stories, and is inspired by true events. Use every tool at your disposal to solve crimes–consult the internet, check the facts, and constantly learn new clues. You are not playing a detective–you are a detective!
The game includes high-quality components and five scenarios for players to solve.
Alien Artifacts: Discovery

Alien Artifacts (PLG0552) officially releases today (10/26/17), and it is generating a lot of buzz. With the excitement mounting, Portal Games is promoting the very first expansion for the Alien Artifacts 4X engine-building card game: Discovery.
Alien Artifacts: Discovery moves the storyline of the universe forward and introduces a new type of card: Alien Resources. It adds a total of 50 cards to the core game and creates lots of new options during gameplay.
Robinson Crusoe: The Lost City of Z

The Lost City of Z is the second big expansion for the bestselling adventure game Robinson Crusoe (PLG0064)! Like its predecessor, Voyage of the Beagle (ZMG71251), this expansion follows another great explorer, Lieutenant Colonel Percy Fawcett. His expedition went deep into a South American rainforest in the search of a hidden civilization–the mythical Lost City of Z.
Robinson Crusoe: The Lost City of Z introduces new mechanism of horror and sanity into the game! Discover new characters, beasts, and mystery deck cards! The expansion will include five missions forming a long and epic campaign!

Abandon all hope! If you thought the game would get easier, you could be mistaken… but it will certainly get more interesting.

Imperial Settlers: We Didn’t Start The Fire

Imperial Settlers: We Didn’t Start The Fire is the third Empire Pack for the Imperial Settlers (PLG0565) engine-building card game. Join your favorite factions, best your opponents, and expand your empire with the new cards offered in this pack.
Neuroshima Hex! 3.0: Iron Gang Hexpuzzles Pack

Iron Gang Hexpuzzle Pack is an expansion for Neuroshima HEX! 3.0 (PLG0671) that introduces clever, new puzzles to solve on your hex board, and it’s a perfect way to play some Hex on your own or challenge your friends! Also, it includes a bonus army tile for Iron Gang Army.
First Martians Event News
Rumor has it that in the next few days, Portal Games is planning a two-day Halloween event, with a special, spooky edition of the “Probe on the Loose” mission for First Martians! There will be tons of spooky surprises waiting for you while chasing that probe! Make sure you plan a gaming session in the days leading up to Halloween, and use the #HalloweenInSpace hashtag to tell the world what is happening!
Support for First Martians
The English version of the First Martians: Adventures on the Red Planet (PLG0088) was released last month in the U.S.A., and today (10/26/17), it was officially released in Europe. The most anticipated game in Portal Games history, based on the great adventure engine known from Robinson Crusoe, is finally here! The good news is that Portal Games plans to support it for many years to come, and they are already on the right track.
